How do we do it:

In just 3 short years our community involvement has grown tremendously and helped nurture the lives of hundreds of young people. Our approach to community involvement focuses on delivering maximum impact and business value. We can make the most lasting impact when our work with nonprofit organizations is outcomes-focused and driven by the contribution of our core competency: a passion to help others.

Internships

We provide student internships throughout the year. We are linked with some of the best universities in the UK, Europe and Asia. All students are welcome to participate in the internship as long as they can dedicate between 2-6 months. Areas in which students get to learn include administration, Graphic Design, Programming, Leadership skills and entrepreneurship. We have a vast array of international students who grace us with their presence throughout the year. You can be assured that all nationalities have passed through our doors on a work internship. On any given month we can have students from America, Japan, France and Africa to name but a few nationalities that benefit from our international internship. Ranging from 2 – 6 months you are guaranteed to learn plenty in your chosen field of work as well as gain insight knowledge into owning your own business and personally developing yourself under a chosen mentor. Our internships have proved most popular with students worldwide who choose us as their preferred sandwich placement employer. Many students who have been on placement with us have recommended their friends and other colleagues within their academic institutions to come on placement at Lacou and so word of mouth has really helped to promote our internship scheme both locally and internationally.

Work Placement Scheme

Our in-house work placement scheme is designed to help disadvantaged people back into work by providing them with a few months office based work experience to help them gain confidence and a sense of pride by working to deadline and within a team environment.

“During my time at Lacou I found the environment very relaxed and comfortable and felt it was an ideal situation for me to adapt and become more confident. I would recommend a work placement at Lacou to others; this is a good opportunity to meet and work with other professionals alike. My placement at Lacou has benefited me by getting me my current job as an IT assistant”

Our company directors are involved in mentoring students from schools, colleges and universities. Students get to pick who they wish to pair up based on a character and experience profile. Our mentors provide 100% support and encouragement to all students who are on the scheme to enable them to maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they want to be.
